The True Friend 1

Imâm Ash-Shâfi’î (rahimahullaah) said:

مَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الْعِلْمَ فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ فَلَا يَكُنْ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ مَعْرِفَةٌ , وَلَا صَدَاقَةٌ

“There is no goodness in the one who does not love knowledge.

So let there be no recognition between you and him.

And let there be no companionship [friendship] between you and him.”
