‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (radhiyaAllaahu ‘ anhu) said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘ alayhi wasallam) said:
“Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah; then he will get a good deed for it. And a good deed is multiplied to ten good deeds like it.
I do not mean that (Alif Laam Meem) is a letter; rather Alif is considered a letter, Laam is considered a letter, and Meem is considered a letter.” [1]

The Month of The Qur’an is here, its time for us to “credit our accounts” inshaAllaah.
They say the Qur’an has 323671 letters.
So if you finish the Qur’an once in this blessed month, that is 323671 x 10 = 3,236,710 hasanat.!!
That is Three million, two hundred and thirty six thousand, seven hundred and ten rewards!
All of us want to have 3,236,710 in our bank accounts. But reality is you will either spend it all (!) or eventually leave it.
So let us work on our real accounts: those of our good deeds. Surely that is what will go with us in our graves and thereafter.
