Sincerity To Allaah’s Book Is The Religion…
From Tameem ad-Daari (radhiyaAllaahu ‘anhu) who said: ‘The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:
“The religion is an-naseehah [i.e. sincerity].”
We said: ‘To whom?’
He said: “To Allaah, and His Book, and His Prophet, and to the Leaders of The Muslims, and the general Muslims.’’
Narrated By Muslim: 82.
Ash-shaykh Al- Muhaddith ‘AbdulMuhsin al-‘Abbaad says:
“The explanation of these five have been expounded by a number of various scholars, and from the best of these explanations, is what has come from Abee ‘Amr ibn Salaah in his book ‘..Siyaana Saheeh Muslim min Ikhlaal wa Ighlaat: page 223-224 he says :
‘And an-Naseehah is a collective term which obligates for the who is advising / or one who is sincere, to do so in the form of wanting good -both in feeling and action- to the one he is advising or being sincere to.
So the sincerity to Allaah, The Exalted, is to single Him out alone in worship, and to attribute Him with the Most Perfect and Most Complete and Noble attributes, and declaring Him to be far removed from all that goes against this Perfection, and [from the sincerity to Allaah is] to keep away from disobeying Him, and to be steadfast in obeying Him; and Loving Him, all with Ikhlaas, and to love and to hate for His sake, and to strive against those who disbelieve In Him..
And the sincerity to His Book is believing in it, and glorifying it, and magnifying it, and reciting it as it ought to be recited, and limiting to that which it has limited of the commands and prohibitions, and to seek knowledge in its knowledge and its parables, and to contemplate and ponder over its verses, and to call to it, and to refute and disparage the distortion of the deviants concerning it…’ ”
