From ‘Aaishah (radhiyaAllaahu ‘ anhaa) who said that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘ alayhi wasallam) said:
“The one who recites the Qur’aan and is proficient in it will be with the noble scribes (the angels),
And the one who stutters when reciting -due to it being difficult on him-: he will have two rewards.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaaree : 4653,and Muslim:798,
Al Imaam Ibn Uthaymeen said:
“The proficient one; is the one who recites it according to its rulings of tajweed, and is established in it. This one, will be among the noble scribes. And they are the angels, as in the statement of The Exalted:
“(It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). Exalted (in dignity), purified, In the hands of scribes (angels). Honourable and obedient.” [Suratu Abasa : 13-16]
So the proficient one is with the Angel.
As for the one who stutters in it and is difficult for him; then for him are two rewards: the first one is for recitation and the second for the difficulty he faces.’
Upto where he said: ‘… in summary what is important is that the one who is proficient in recitation of The Qur’ân; will be with the noble scribes, and the one who stutters when reciting the Qur’aan due to difficulty, then he will have two rewards.
So whoever recites the Qur’ân, he is not a loser. And Allaah is the facilitator.”
