TEXT OF THE SURAH :
{ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ }
12. Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).
After He had mentioned the condition of the transgressors, the miserable ones: then He mentioned the condition and the description of the blissful ones, the successful ones: so He said:
{ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ }
Verily! Those who fear their Lord in the unseen
Meaning: In all their time, even in the situation where there is no one who can see them except Allaah. So they don’t go forth to commit sins, and they don’t fall short in what they have been ordered..
{ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ }
..theirs will be forgiveness ..
..For their sins.
And when Allaah forgives their sins: He saves them from its evil effects, and saves them from the torment of Hell.
And for them is the great reward: and it is what Allaah has promised them in the Paradise; of the ever lasting bounties, and great possessions, and delights which come one after the other, and for them is what they desire, and the palaces and lofty houses, and beautiful maidens, and young servants to serve them.
And greater than all that, and more magnificent is : the pleasure of The Most Merciful. Which Allaah bestows to the people of paradise.
TEXT OF VERSES 13-14 :
وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
13. And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.
أَلا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ
14. Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything).
TAFSEER :
This is information from Allaah on the vastness of His Knowledge , and the encompassing of His awareness. Thus He said :
{ وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ }
And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it,
All of them are equal to Him. There is no detail that is hidden from Him. Indeed…
{ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ }
Verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men).
Meaning: What is in them of the intentions, and the wishes.
So how about the statements and the actions of which are seen and are heard [in the apparent]!?
Then He said , while proving it through an intellectual proof :
{ أَلا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ }
Should not He Who has created know?
So The One who created the creations, and completed them, and made them in an appropriate state : How is that He does not know!?
{ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ }
And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything).
The One whose is all encompassing in His knowledge and His awareness, such that He knows the secrets and the intentions, and the hidden matters and the unseen. And He is The One..
{ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى }
..verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. [1]
TEXT OF THE SURAH :
{ هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأرْضَ ذَلُولا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ }
15. He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection.
TAFSEER:
Meaning : He is The One who has submitted the earth for you, so that you can reach all that which is necessary for your needs; like cultivation and farming, and construction, and the roads through which you reach remote places and far away lands.
{ فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا }
..so walk in the path thereof..
To search for your provision and your needs..
{ وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ }
..and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection.
Meaning: After you move away from this abode which Allaah has made as a trial and which He has made as a transit which reaches you to the abode of the here after: You will be resurrected after your death; and brought forth to Allaah so that He rewards you for your deeds ; the good thereof and the evil.
